Our Story
David Arambhan a national level Karate champion who has been teaching karate for the last 20 years and was part of the core organizing team of 3 major Amateur Cycling events, wanted to extend his expertise in developing mixed sports fitness routine to a larger audience, which gave birth to the idea behind Epiclife.
Appreciating the value of having a team with complementary skills sets, he tied up with Amithanand Dsilva a passionate cyclist & a technocrat to design training solutions using well-established technology solutions and products with an aim to provide geographical & time agnostic training services. For Amithanand cycling is a way of life an avid reader he has a personal collection of 20+ cycling books with topics ranging from Cycle Frame Design to Powermeters.
The team was further reinforced by the Dilshad MJ an avid cyclist and runner who is working on completing his SR by end of 2018 and half-marathon by 2019. Dilshad is the seasoned strategist and brings in the corporate organization's skills to scale and manage the company. He is a professional with a degree in Production Engineering and more than 18 years of rich extensive experience in the Industry and is presently working as the Country Manager for an Oilfield products Multinational Company.
Sensei David Arambhan has been practicing karate right from the age of 5 years. He has been training for the last 38 years. In the beginning, having been exposed to the adapted form of India's ancient martial art of Kalaripayat regarded as the origin of martial arts, he was awarded a black belt after 8 years of training at a young age of 13 years. Ever since then he has participated in tournaments at State and National Level and has also represented the country in international tournaments as a member of the All India Karate-Do Federation. He is presently the President & Technical Director of Western India Wado Kai (Affiliated to JKF Wado Kai Japan).

As a Teacher, Sensei David has taught hundreds of students over the last 20+ years some of whom have won accolades for the state and respective districts across Maharashtra. He also runs specialised courses around various aspects of Karate taking it beyond just Karate as a sport
Besides Karate, David is an active long distance runner and cyclist. Having participated in a number of half marathons and endurance cycling events. He was also a part of the core organizing team

David has always maintained that his love for Karate has been the key factor in him excelling in other sports and fitness regimes. He uses a lot of the exercises learned and developed by him over the years to keep him fit and able to pursue endurance sports and fitness exercises.
